Rapala Introduces a New “Sweet Spot” Size 12 In The DT (Dives-To) Series
The Rapala® DT® (Dives-To) Series of baits needs no formal introduction. As the #1-selling bass crankbait by Rapala, the DT Series continues to consistently outfish similar baits thanks to its enticing balsa profile, hard side-to-side wobble, and, of course, its uncanny ability to quickly dive to a preset depth and stay there until it gets hammered.
With over two decades of proven success behind it, any new addition to the DT family rightfully brings with it a great deal of anticipation and excitement. The new size DT-12 is sure to make good on the hype, as balsa crankbait action can only come from balsa wood.
With the same body size (2-¼ inches) and weight (⅗ oz) of the DT-10, the new DT-12 features a slightly larger polycarbonate lip profile that allows it to dive down to 12 feet, and stay there. This new DT-12 slots in between the aforementioned DT-10 and DT-16, rounding out the arsenal of this fish-favorite bait.
A tapered fuselage and thin tail design combine to create DT’s signature, deadly action, while its high vibration internal baritone rattle chamber beckons fish to eat. As with all Rapalas, each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested to swim perfectly right out of the box.
DT Series baits are perfectly weighted to rest in a quick-dive nose-down position, allowing for immediate descent to desired depth. Owing to its heft and profile, the DT® can be easily cast 150 feet. Simply put, it's one of the most effective ways to cover more water and catch more fish. And now, thanks to DT-12, anglers have even more of the water column covered, from 4 to 16 feet down.
Every DT-12 comes with two premium No. 4 VMC® black nickel round bend hooks and is available in an astounding 36 colors for every scenario imaginable.
