Slashing New Colors: Popular X-Rap Now Available in Four New Colors

Like the Original Floating® Rapala® and the Shad Rap® before it, when Rapala introduced the X-Rap®, it revolutionized fishing with its slashbait action and long-cast system. 

Years later, the X-Rap has built an international reputation for consistently putting anglers on fish, both in freshwater and saltwater, and in the process, changed fishing forever. A true multispecies wonder, the X-Rap helped anglers of all experience levels catch more fish in every type of fishing condition imaginable. 

Building on that reputation, Rapala has introduced four new colors in the X-Rap line, including Crystal Shad, Fire Tiger UV, Hot Blue Frost, and Snowstorm – in sizes No. 8 (3-1/8 inches) and No. 10 (4 inches).

The X-Rap® is "all about the action." The versatility of the X-Rap allows an angler to impart several fish-catching actions in a single retrieve. It casts like a bullet and it can be fished both in an aggressive "Slashbait®" technique or with a classic Rapala wobble. The angler defines the cadence for maximum effectiveness. Meanwhile, prominent scales and lateral lines on the fuselage capture and flash light like a beacon.

Each X-Rap is hand-tuned and tank-tested to ensure top-performing action right out of the box. Loaded with features from tip to tail, it features a textured translucent body, internal holographic foil, internal long-cast system (XR04 excluded), 3D holographic eyes, and flash foil teaser tails. It also features two premium VMC® black nickel treble hooks.
