The Maven features an electric DC brushless motor, a planetary gear system, variable speed, a power button with a deadman safety switch, forward and reverse capability, a build-in LED light, ergonomic soft-touch grips, and impact-resistant long filament handles. Plus, it’s equipped with a built-in bubble level and power point to lock the drill unit in place while drilling.

Because the Maven is so smooth while drilling, the battery works less hard and lasts longer on the ice. The 8” auger drills 3.6” per second, or 125 holes/2000” on a single charge. The 10” auger drills 2.5” per second, or 90 holes/1440 inches on a single charge. This is based on repeated tests with 16” of ice. The Maven comes with two Lithium 40V batteries for extra longevity and security.

At 14.5 lbs. and 15.5 lbs. for the 8” and 10” models, this auger is the lightest of its kind, so that anglers can use it all day long without injury or discomfort.

The Maven’s drill unit and blades feature a lightweight aluminum hexagonal shaft, proprietary synthetic resin molded flighting, full-length segmented flighting, and a carriage formed from exclusive engineered compounds.

The Maven comes with Maven Blades, a Maven Blade Carriage, the hands-free Maven Magnetic Snap Cover Blade Guard to keep you and your blades safe, and a wall-mountable Lithium 40V Charging Base. Each accessory can also be sold individually for replacement or to have extra on hand.
