SCR Deep HJ ICAST V2 (video)
Hi I’m Al Lindner and I want to talk to you a little bit about a real deadly new hot walleye bait. Not only walleyes but a lot of other fish particularly if you like to troll. Now the Scatter Rap is the newest thing to come along in lip designs in many, many, many years. You have a triggering effect out of the Scatter Rap family that makes it goes off to the side, it comes back, goes off to the side. Fish love it. You need to get some of these. If you’re a troller, you like fishing open water, trout, salmon, salmon, walleyes in particular. The new Scatter Rap Husky Jerk. Deadly.
Tony Roach, Professional Guide and Angler. Chances are if you troll for walleyes you’ve got some Deep Husky Jerks in your box. Today we’re trolling the new Scatter Rap Deep Husky Jerk on lead core line.
My setup is pretty simple, I’ve got about thirty feet of ten pound mono leader with eighteen pound Sufix lead core. And we’re running these things back anywhere from two and a half to three and a half colors depending on depth. Trolling right around two miles an hour. You know the nice thing about Scatter Raps, you know if you fish Scatter Raps, they do a lot of the work for you. So like we’re on a straight line troll but these baits are back there hunting and searching and basically doing the work for you. So we’re going to put them in the rod holder and see what happens. The Scatter Rap Deep Husky Jerk on its own goes about nine to twelve feet. Of course there’s a wide variety of ways to get those baits even deeper. For example we’re running lead core today.
In a Scatter Rap Deep Husky there is twenty-three different colors to match every situation. You know for me I would stick to a lot of natural colored-based especially in high sun and clear water conditions. But when I’m fishing dirty rivers or canic water, extremely dark water. I rely heavily upon the UV colors and the more bright colors to put more fish in the boat. Walleye anglers whether you troll shallow or deep, the Scatter Rap Husky Jerks are going to be one of those go-to baits that you must have in your tackle box.
