Terminator Popping Frog (video)

Ott DeFoe, Terminator Pro Angler.

The Terminator® Frog you want to make sure that you’re fishing around cover. The huge benefit to fishing a frog like the Terminator Popping Frog is fishing in that cover where you can’t fish any other bait. You know, something with a treble hook it’s not going to work right there. But with that popping frog you can get up to that piece of wood, pop it over and go right back to fishing it. That truly is the benefit to a frog like the Terminator Popping Frog.

One really great thing about the Terminator Popping Frog is that the way it’s designed you can really make it either pop, or walk, whichever one you want it to do.

So I’m wanting to make that frog really chug, really pop. When I hit it I’m not going to give it much slack. I’m going to kind of pull that line back tight. After I pop that bait, so I’m going to pop it and keep it on a tight line. Like that. And If I want it to walk more kind of keep it in place I’m going to give it a lot of slack whenever I twitch it. That will allow that bait to walk side to side without moving a great distance. It’s still going to spray some water it’s still going to kind of chug a little bit, but just those little short twitches really make that bait move back and forth side to side. Keep it in play. It just depends on the mood of the fish, sometimes they will tell you if they really want to chug it and other times they want that more side to side walk. But the great thing about the Terminator Popping Frog is you can do that all with one bait on the same cast even if you want to.

There we go. It’s all about figuring out that retrieve. Today with that Terminator Popping Frog you got to kind of keep it walk back and forth, side to side, that’s what they’re doing. That’s awesome.
