Andy was born in northern Minnesota into a family who loves the outdoors. Andy was introduced to the outdoors a very young age by his father, and has been hooked ever since. He is an avid year round fisherman, but his true passion is ice fishing. Andy resides in the St. Cloud area where he does a lot of his fishing, but his heart is still up north chasing giant blue gills and slab crappies.
In the downtime between seasons, 3 years ago Andy created the Facebook group Ice Fishing Minnesota for him and his friends to chat ice fishing. Today the group page has exploded to over 45,000 members and he has also launched a summer page that has an additional 25,000 members. Andy also hosts a podcast called “The Livewell” where he and his co-host talk current fishing news, and general bait shop chit chat.
