The new DT® Thug™ from Rapala® has an attitude and other crankbaits can't compete

MINNETONKA, Minn. (July 14, 2009) - One look and anglers will see why this bad boy of the water is called the DT® Thug™. Sporting a long-angled lip for getting down and dirty, the DT thug is capable of swimming through the toughest, thickest vegetation in search of the biggest bass.

"The DT Thug has a hard action. It displays a high vibration variation of the classic Rapala® swimming action," explains David Fritts, Rapala pro staff member and crankbait aficionado.

Anglers know that big bass forage through the shadows of weeds and debris, and that's just where the DT Thug thrives. Wobbling from side-to-side, pausing, diving, grinding on the bottom and ripping through the weeds, this Golden Glove champ does it all.

Building off the lethal Dives-To Series, the DT Thug has a running depth of four to eight feet, giving anglers yet another option to target hawgs that hang out in this water column.

Constructed out of Balsa, the DT Thug is 2 1/2 inches long and weighs 3/8 oz. Featuring two No. 6 VMC® SureSet Black Nickel Hooks that hold on tight to fish and will get the hawg out of the thick. With sixteen color patterns to choose from, anglers will be kings of the lake. It just begs the question. Are they tough enough to handle this Thug?
