Rapala Sets the Hook and Promotes Large to Vice President of Product Development
December 6, 2000

MINNETONKA, Minn. (September 5, 2006) – Minnetonka-based Normark Corporation, member of the Rapala VMC Group, the world’s leading fishing tackle manufacturer, has promoted George Large to vice president of product development.

George’s enthusiasm for the outdoors can be seen in almost every job he has chosen throughout his career, from his college job at a sporting goods store to his first position at Normark Corp. as regional sales manager.

“George’s devotion to his customers and his love for the industry have been evident since day one,” said Tom Mackin, president of Normark. “His hard work over the last six years has been remarkable to say the least; he has been a crucial component in the growth of our company.”

As an avid angler, Large’s fishing endeavors have taken him all over the world.

Large commented, “There’s nothing more exciting or rewarding than hearing stories about the lures you have helped design for anglers that allow them to catch a multitude of fish species and experience the fight of a lifetime when they hook into one.”

As vice president of product development, Large will oversee the time-tested lure development process that makes Rapala and affiliated brands stop the biggest fish in their tracks time and time again.
