Rapala Lures Receive World Record Award From IGFA

Back To Press Release ArchiveRapala is again setting another precedent as the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) announces Rapala lures caught more IGFA world records in 2004 than any other lure. “Rapala lures seem to consistently be the leading brand we see on record applications,” says Mike Leech, Ambassador at Large for IGFA. This is the first year a lure company has been recognized in catching the most IGFA world records on their brand of lures.
The award will be presented at the second Annual World Record Achievement Awards Celebration to be held at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday April 9, 2005 in Dania Beach, FL. Each year the IGFA recognizes tackle companies for setting the most world records with their various products.
